Ours is a family-run winery that still protects 69 hectares of vineyards.
We produce native wines with a strong drive toward research and innovation — which for us means respect for the land, minimal intervention in the field, and organic production within a sustainable economy.

Our territory is not easy, but there is beauty everywhere: gullies that embroider rock walls, steep slopes and breathtaking landscapes, forests.
This is Tenuta Cocci Grifoni: an ecosystem of people and nature.

Not by chance, ours is an Equalitas-certified winery, meaning a winery that meets environmental, economic, and social sustainability standards and is committed to maintaining them over time.
The Equalitas Certification is part of a broader project that we call ethical vandalism, meaning making wine according to the principles of honest agriculture.

The Only Possible Project Is a Sustainable One

The Equalitas Certification is just the latest step in a journey begun years ago — instinctively, before it even had a name.
For years, we have followed a protocol attentive to the ecosystem that surrounds us.
We are an Oasi Lipu for biodiversity protection, our products are organic and vegan, and even before being organic, we applied integrated pest management protocols.
For packaging, we choose lightweight glass and FSC-certified paper.

The principles of honest agriculture reflect who we are — not only in the way we cultivate the land but also in our relationships with those who work with us and in preserving a sustainable local economy.

We could do things differently, of course, but at what cost?
For us, respect for the land and for people comes before everything else.
And if these actions define sustainability, then sustainability is the daily focus of our work.

A Matter of Style

Our wines are appreciated both by those who seek the safe harbor of a historic winery and by young people who prefer lighter, more drinkable wines.
They are chosen by those who wish to drink little but well, and by those in search of an experience, an emotion.

For us, wine supports conviviality — it is not the center of everything.
This is why we have recovered the stylistic and genuine character of the wines of the past, with a winemaking and viticultural approach focused on detail, on the everyday glass — then simply a glass — and on ease of drinking.

Making wine is a matter of land, yes, but also a matter of style, and ours is simple: to enhance the firm character of wine connected to a young and agile sip.

And the Land?

Speaking about microclimate, soils, and the combination of factors that determine the uniqueness of a territory — what we call terroir — is of primary importance.
These elements define the character of a wine and influence its sensory profile.

Aromas and flavors develop during fermentation and maturation, enriching the wine with nuances that find their origin in the nature of a specific territory.
All this creates the peculiarities that make the grape variety the first and main source of taste identity within a macro-area.

This can never be overlooked.
It is the reason why a wine can be recognized even when vinified in different areas by different people.

Recognizability does not apply only to pure varieties — in our case, Passerina and Pecorino — but also extends to blends, such as our Rosso Piceno Superiore.

The best way to get to know our wines is to taste them at the Panoramic Terrace.
If that’s not possible, just choose a bottle, open it, and pour it into a glass — then enjoy the sip and the moment.

But what truly makes Tenuta Cocci Grifoni special is Diana’s warmth, Marta and Camilla’s energy, and Marilena’s reliability.
