Rosso Piceno DOC Superiore
As time goes by, many are leaving the countryside, but someone stays. Someone remains to cultivate the fields, to maintain the woods, to prune the olive trees and, of course, to grow the vineyards. Some of those vineyards are still there, as is our historic one, right in front of the house, from which we harvest the grapes to produce the Vigna Messieri.
The wine opens with intense purple flowers and moves up to lavender. It continues with aromas of toasted cocoa then returns to flowers with fleshy red roses and an elegant balsamic long finish. The taste is a duality of expression. Silky tannins alternate with the voluptuousness of fruit which, wrapped in a crunchy layer of cocoa, make every taste a passionate embrace.

Talking about microclimate, soils, the set of factors that determine the uniqueness of a territory, what is called terroir, is of primary importance.
These elements define the character of a wine, they influence its sensorial traits.
Aromas and flavors will develop during fermentation and maturation, enriching the wine with hints that originate in the nature of a specific territory.
All this creates the peculiarities that see the first and main gustatory definition in the vine within a macro-area.
