‘It is difficult to encapsulate all the emotions of this two-day event in a few words. Every speech, every moment of sharing was interesting and able to put us in the position of listening to ourselves and to each other.’
These were the thoughts of Marta Capriotti at the end of Ecosofia di Primavera – Manifesto Edition.
The second edition retraced the structure of the first one, thus alternating moments in which one puts oneself at stake with others in which one discovers new things, moments in which one performs actions followed by others in which one’s mind can explore paths not yet known, all while being immersed in the suggestions of the nature of the Relais Cocci Grifoni.
This edition was also curated by Simona Angeletti who, together with Marta, chose themes and guests. As already stated in the title, the retreat combines two themes very dear to our winery: spring and Manifesto, the new wine resulting from an experimental project of honest farming.
The Ecosofia programme followed a spiral development that, starting from within us with Chiara Santarelli’s theatre workshop, moved – one step at a time – its focus outwards, exploring literature, music and poetry with Rossella D’Oria and Simona Angeletti, who introduced Claudia Fulvi’s book therapy workshop. Sunday landed on the imaginative world of fairy tales with Elena Santilli and in the afternoon Claudia Camillo taught us how to choose what we want to see in our photographs.
There was also the presentation of Manifesto with a tasting and a trip to the winery to see the other labels, and a visit to the wine library to learn about the history and the cooperage to discover the processes.
On the same days as Ecosofia di Primavera (10-11 May), our winery also received Equalitas Certification, the only one dedicated to the sustainability of the wine supply chain. A perfect coincidence, to say the least.
