A land to cross
Our bold and concrete choices are born from the generosity of the land and its beauty, linked to the value of the land and the territory.
Talking about microclimate, soils, the set of factors that determine the uniqueness of a territory, what is called terroir, is of primary importance.
These elements define the character of a wine, they influence its sensorial traits.
Aromas and flavors will develop during fermentation and maturation, enriching the wine with hints that originate in the nature of a specific territory.
All this creates the peculiarities that see the first and main gustatory definition in the vine within a macro-area. This aspect cannot and must never be overshadowed.
It is the reason why a wine can be recognized even if different people vinify it in different areas.
The noun wine was not used by chance.
Recognition is not limited to the grape variety vinified in purity, in our case Pecorino and Passerina, but also extends to the blends, such as our Rosso Piceno DOC Superiore.
There is another detail to consider. Our lands are the same centimeters of sky, being close to each other.
Thus, even if the plots have different names, San Basso or Tarà, it is possible to easily define Tenuta Cocci Grifoni.
Offida DOCG Pecorino
Always native, feared,
lost and then found.
Surprise, expectation, enthusiasm, joy.
This is the Offida DOCG Pecorino, in its history and in the glass.
It surprises in its youth for the precision with which it recalls ripe pears and broom flowers, for the marked acidity and salinity of the sip, but it appeals to those who know how to wait.
To these it will display accents of aromatic herbs and larger and more intense flowers, enthusing over the years with its ability to grow aromatically.
It is always a joy to have it in the glass.
Vintage and especially after a few years of aging in the bottle when, more mature, he will be able to tell the best of its possibilities
Rosso Piceno DOC Superiore
The most full-bodied sensuality
When we talk about charm, we think of elegantly strong and decisive personalities who have the ability to attract, excite, amaze, seduce.
All this is Rosso Piceno DOC Superiore that combines two indigenous vines with opposite souls and at the same time perfect for each other.
The powerful traits of Montepulciano and the persuasive ones of Sangiovese find their maximum expression in this blend. Ripe and fleshy red fruits, blackberries and cherries in alcohol, gently accompany aromatic herbs, pink pepper berries and purple flower buds.
Montepulciano and Sangiovese are vinified separately, and then united to weave a unique and historical texture: that of Rosso Piceno DOC and Rosso Piceno DOC Superiore.
Their story was born in the 1960s, codified in 1968, and continues to the present day, recounting
a partnership so consolidated that it has become recognizable.
Like a grape vinified in purity that, evidently, is not the only reliable witness of the markers of a territory and its recognizability.
Lightness rich in taste
There is always a moment when you need lightness, joviality and cheerfulness. Passerina has the perfect temperament to accompany happy and serene breaks.
It is a wine that inspires smiles, amidst accents of white flowers and crunchy fruits, between the salinity of the sip and the explosion of flavors that bring us back to the spring warmth in which the air is swollen with the scents of lime blossom and lily of the valley.
It is a gentle wine, rich in taste, which charms the palate and which, always sweet in its expressions, inspires joy with every sip.
