Tasting in the Cave

Immersed in an intimate atmosphere and unique setting, the Lunch in the Grotta offers an opportunity to taste the vintages that have made the history of the winery, alongside the more recent ones in a unique format.

The Grotta is the only room of the Terrazza Cocci Grifoni that hosts this special tasting itinerary. It is a dinner in which six courses are paired with four fine wines.
The chef, Riccardo Amabili, will delight you with a dedicated menu, created specifically for this experience that speaks of our land in a completely new and surprising way.

What’s included? A six-course tasting menu (Chef’s welcome, two appetizers, first course, second course, and dessert, paired with homemade bread and organic olive oils) and a tasting of four wines, including Offida DOCG Pecorino and Rosso Piceno DOC Superiore of the current vintage, as well as a vintage from the past ranging from 2000 to 2015.

    Is it possible to visit the Tenuta Cocci Grifoni winery?

    Of course. The visit begins in the Wine Shop with the Linea del Tempo (Time Line), then we move on to the concrete vats  area, which bears witness to the 90 vintages, and finally to the Bottaia, built in the early 1970s by Guido Cocci Grifoni.
    We get the  Wine Library, where the labels that have made the history of our Cellar are on display, and finally in the winemaking and bottling department.
    The Guided Tour of the Cellar must be booked and can be combined with one of the Wine Tasting.
